I have read this beautiful book and am greatly impressed at what the five authors have accomplished. Wallula Gap is indeed a very special place and this fine book brings all the different aspects into clear focus. This book is full of wonderful photos of the Wallula Gap area that will cause you to want to visit this "island desert" along the Columbia River. The text is clear and in some cases lyrical. The editor Dr.Bob Carson has done a great job in rounding up four additional folks that truley have a passion about Wallula Gap. I urge folks to pick up this well done book and learn about an area that few ever take the time to even stop in once they are there. This is a book well worth your time.
