"When Karen Met Her Mountain" - Karen, a woman whose miscarriage and subsequent suicide attempt has mentally unbalanced her, is ambushed along with her husband Martin by cultists along an Arizona highway. They bind Martin on an altar as a sacrifice and drive Karen out into the desert to do away with her but she gets the drop on her captor and kills him with a rock. She makes her way back to the cultist camp and murders the remaining cultists one by one with an ax. Checking Martin's cell phone for a signal she learns of his affair with her therapist and decides to leave him bound to the altar. She wanders off into the desert her mind completely unhinged by the events she has experienced.
