The vanishing American

There were 2 hardcover editions published by Grosset & Dunlap in the mid to late 1920's(1925-1927). One had a brown cover with the title in blue, illustrated and with a symbol on the tile page; the other was a green cover with title in black, no illustrations, and no symbol on the title page. The front of both dust jackets were the same with different back covers. One would assume the illustrated edition to be the more expensive. The covers(under the dust jackets) were duplicates of the Harper & Brothers covers.
