Top paper, new useful solution to eutrophication problem. This paper is absolutely innovative. The paper reported experiments and their analysis that lead to a fundamentally new solution to the problem of eutrophication. I recommend this paper. It will be used and cited by many who are involved in environmental management, water resources, aquatic science, aquatic ecology, ecotoxicology, limnology. Excellent and useful!

Absolutely new solution to eutrophication - this is the bottom line of this very useful paper. In practice, to solve the horrible problem of eutrophication became a mission impossible. he author, Dr. Sergei Ostroumov, proposed an absolutely new solution. He discovered a new factor that contribute to eutrophication. Until now, this factor was ignored. Excellent, very useful paper!

Traditional approach to the problem of eutrophication is based on the idea the main cause of eutrophication is the increased level in amount of phosphorus and nitrogen in the aquatic medium. The author of the paper under the review detected an additional cause which is equally vital to eutrophication. This additional cause is water pollution with chemicals that inhibit the natural ecological mechanisms of control of phytoplankton. The author of the paper identified a very important example of such chemicals. He discovered that synthetic surfactants and detergents inhibit activity of aquatic organisms which control phytoplankton.
This is a really new approach to analysis of factors that are the cause of eutrophycation. The contribution of chemical pollution with surfactants to eutrophication is not taken into equation in the current programs of combat against eutrophication.
More recent publication confirmed the conclusions of this paper.
On this reason, the paper will be really helpful in alleviation of eutrophication.
