"Pop Goes The Weasel" is the second of five (so far) books in the "Helen Grace" Crime Thrillers series. It is very well written by British author and television producer, M. J. Arlidge. He has one of the most demented minds that only the likes of the "Saw" movie screenwriters could have. His books are THAT twisted and gruesome. I found myself squirming more than a three year old on a sugar rush.
The series is about a police detective, Helen Grace, as well as her co-workers at the Southampton police andprecinct. She prefers to be a loner on her time off, except when she visits Jake for her S & M sessions. When her arch nemesis, newspaper journalist, Emilia Garanita discovers Helen's secret, she tries to blackmail Helen into giving her exclusives in the macabre serial killer's case.
What is Helen to do? Worry over her future on the task force? She has bigger fish to fry in locating the killer, who just might be the last person you would expect to take down and mutilate big men. Will Helen's undercover co-worker be one of the next victims? Only time will tell as you continue on this rollercoaster of madness. Not to worry. The next installment, "The Doll's House" is ready for your reading pleasure.
