This work offers a coherent and evidence based interpretation of the historical factors that lead to the progression of US immigration policy over time. It offers an especially meaningful connection between the fight for minority equality and the evolution of immigration policies. The author employs concrete examples of Indian, Chinese, and Eastern European immigrants and their treatments under immigration policies from different historical periods. Then the author analyzes the logical cause and effect relationship between certain historical events and the production of racially-motivated immigration policy. Overall, this monograph is a significant contribution to the study of minority equity in the area of immigration.
